position: US Congress

Candidate District: CD15

QUESTION #1

Do you stand firm in upholding, honoring and defending the Constitution? Please provide examples.

As a Congressman, I took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. The Bill of Rights is one of the most important documents in our nation’s history, and I firmly believe in the personal liberties that it guarantees. While every decision I make is rooted in the Constitution, there are 3 amendments that stand out to me. Nothing could be more important than the 1st Amendment, the freedom of religion and speech. I consistently fight to uphold the 2nd Amendment, the right to bear arms as guaranteed by our Founding Fathers. Finally, I strongly believe in the 10th amendment which guarantees that powers not expressly given to the federal government are reserved for the states so that the people are closer to the decision making process that governs them.

QUESTION #2

What does medical freedom mean to you?

I believe that an individual should be able to make the medical decisions that are right for them. Medical decisions should be based on a doctor-patient relationship and not mandated by the government.

QUESTION #3

What is your stance on vaccine mandates? Do you oppose or support mandates?

I do not believe the government should mandate vaccines.

QUESTION #4

Do you support the current vaccine exemptions in Florida, Religious and Medical? Would you fight to uphold them should they come under attack?

Yes, I support the current vaccines exemptions in Florida and I would fight to uphold them.

QUESTION #5

Would you support a bill to expand vaccine exemptions to include conscientious objections?

Yes, I would support a bill to expand vaccine exemptions to include conscientious objections.

QUESTION #6

During a declared state of emergency, would you actively fight against proposed vaccine mandates?

I would actively oppose any vaccine mandates, including during declared states of emergency.

QUESTION #7

At the state level, Florida Statute 381.00315 gives the State Health Officer the power to force vaccines, when approved, at their discretion and with police powers for enforcement. Are you aware of this law? Would you support the repeal of this law?

As a federal legislator, I do not have jurisdiction over state law, but I would certainly encourage my state colleagues to take a hard look at repealing this law.

QUESTION #8

At the federal level, the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 gives vaccine makers immunity from lawsuits stemming from harm due to a vaccine. No other drug company has ever been given this sort of protection. Are you familiar with this law? Do you support this type of immunity for pharmaceutical companies?

From my understanding, the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 was enacted after liability suits became more prominent, and there was a concern that vaccine manufacturers would no longer produce life saving vaccines. The law provides an avenue for injured parties to be compensated with no proof of injury, while providing companies with liability protections. First and foremost,I believe in protecting the rights of individuals and consumers, while supporting a regulatory environment that ensures businesses are able to operate.

QUESTION #9

Are you currently (or previously) affiliated in any way (including campaign contributions) with pharmaceutical companies, medical establishments or educational institutions?

I have received a campaign contribution from the employees of HCA Healthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield, but I am not affiliated with pharmaceutical companies, medical establishments or educational institutions.

Final Thoughts? Please share!

I am grateful for your active involvement in the political process to ensure individual rights and liberties are protected.

QUESTION #1

Do you stand firm in upholding, honoring and defending the Constitution? Please provide examples.

Yes. I have been one of the few candidates to actively and regularly speak out against the curfew, mask mandate and other Constitutionally-questionable policies pushed onto us recently. I'm endorsed by Tea Party, the Republican Assembly and others due to my positions.

QUESTION #2

What does medical freedom mean to you?

Medical freedom is the right to choose your method of receiving, or refusing, treatment as you see fit.

QUESTION #3

What is your stance on vaccine mandates? Do you oppose or support mandates?

Tricky. Some vaccines are tried-and-true with extensive trials and studies. Others, not so much. The bar should be extremely high. Even then, I believe it should be encouraged through education, not mandate. However, public and private entities can elect to allow or disallow anyone that refuses. It's how the free market works.

QUESTION #4

Do you support the current vaccine exemptions in Florida, Religious and Medical? Would you fight to uphold them should they come under attack?

Yes. religious and medical rationales for refusing vaccines should be protected, as should any policies affecting someone's religious beliefs or medical condition.

QUESTION #5

Would you support a bill to expand vaccine exemptions to include conscientious objections?

Maybe. I'm not big on mandates to begin with so I suppose objecting to a vaccine is no concern of mine. However, I don't have a medical degree and I can't honestly say I've researched this enough to give a firm answer.

QUESTION #6

During a declared state of emergency, would you actively fight against proposed vaccine mandates?

If there was a small pox emergency, and we have a verifiable source, maybe not. If you're referring to COVID, I would 100% fight against it. There has been no trials and studies and I don't get the sense there will be. They are going to push this on everyone first chance they get. No way.

QUESTION #7

At the state level, Florida Statute 381.00315 gives the State Health Officer the power to force vaccines, when approved, at their discretion and with police powers for enforcement. Are you aware of this law? Would you support the repeal of this law?

Yes, I'm aware. And yes, I would support repealing this ridiculous law.

No, I was not familiar with it but it's appalling. No company should be immune from lawsuits resulting directly from their product. If you can't stand behind it with confidence, it should not be out in public, much less in the form of medicine.

QUESTION #9

Are you currently (or previously) affiliated in any way (including campaign contributions) with pharmaceutical companies, medical establishments or educational institutions?

NO

Final Thoughts? Please share!

Both my children are vaccinated and I believe in it and did it willingly. My cousin (or my wife's cousin technically) chose not to vaccinate her daughter. I personally disagree with her but I respect her decision and we've never kept our kids from hers or felt any concern over it.

QUESTION #1

Do you stand firm in upholding, honoring and defending the Constitution? Please provide examples.

Yes. The Constitution is our founding document and is meant to serve as the limit of the authority we the people granted to our government.

QUESTION #2

What does medical freedom mean to you?

Freedom to choose lawful medical procedures according to the dictates of ones own conscious, free from undue pressure, persuasion, or coercion.

QUESTION #3

What is your stance on vaccine mandates? Do you oppose or support mandates?

I don't believe the government was ever granted the authority, from the people, to mandate medical procedures against the will of anyone who is of sound mind and body.

QUESTION #4

Do you support the current vaccine exemptions in Florida, Religious and Medical? Would you fight to uphold them should they come under attack?

I would always be a proponent of allowing people to be exempt from government action that I believe falls outside its appropriate authority.

QUESTION #5

Would you support a bill to expand vaccine exemptions to include conscientious objections?

Yes. However, as a School Board member, other than expressing my views I don't believe this will ever be within my jurisdiction.

QUESTION #6

During a declared state of emergency, would you actively fight against proposed vaccine mandates?

Yes. Also, don't believe this would fall within the jurisdiction of a local school board.

QUESTION #7

At the state level, Florida Statute 381.00315 gives the State Health Officer the power to force vaccines, when approved, at their discretion and with police powers for enforcement. Are you aware of this law? Would you support the repeal of this law?

I was unaware of this law before now. I have since read it and I am troubled to say the least. I would support any measures taken to remove any and all parts of this.

I was again unaware of this law before now. I have since read up on this Act and likewise would be in support of removing these protections from companies who choose to create such products. Product liability is a well litigated area of law and I see no reason that a company who produces a vaccine should be given any special protections from liability.

QUESTION #9

Are you currently (or previously) affiliated in any way (including campaign contributions) with pharmaceutical companies, medical establishments or educational institutions?

I'm not sure if this qualifies, but regarding educational institutions, I was employed by Liberty University School of Law as a research assistant. Liberty is a well known Christian University from which Liberty Counsel was born. It is known for national fights to protect religious freedoms among other things.

Final Thoughts? Please share!

Thank you for the opportunity to complete this survey. I actually learned a lot by researching the laws that were referenced in your questions. I believe these are issues that more people need to be made aware of. Regardless of your preference on vaccinations, people need to be able to make sure it remains THEIR preference, free of coercion, or undue influence. These are definitely issues I will start making other more aware of.

No other drug company has ever been given this sort of protection. Are you familiar with this law? Do you support this type of immunity for pharmaceutical companies?

I recently became aware of this law. I totally oppose it, people have died, or have been severely harmed by vaccines, with very little compensation. Families struggling with these life altering health problems at no fault of their own, should have greater help from these pharmaceutical companies. Congress needs to reverse this law that only benefits the very rich pharmaceutical companies, and hurts we the people.

QUESTION #1

Do you stand firm in upholding, honoring and defending the Constitution? Please provide examples.

My view on this question is broad. Simply put, we are straying further and further away from the ideals on which this country was founded, which are personal freedom and the right to self-determination. This must be fought to the end, and this trend must be reversed. History shows that any form of statism and federalism produces evil.

QUESTION #2

What does medical freedom mean to you?

It means we have control over our own bodies, and that, other than extreme cases, medical decisions should rest with people and their families, not the government.

QUESTION #3

What is your stance on vaccine mandates? Do you oppose or support mandates?

I don't support mandates. However, I do feel that children should be vaccinated, and in the interest of public safety, I feel that children who don't get vaccinated should be home schooled. I realize this may be disappointing to this group, but I'll not lie to or mislead anyone with my answers. Whether my stances are or aren't disappointing to some, at least voters can feel confident I'm honest about what is said.

QUESTION #4

Do you support the current vaccine exemptions in Florida, Religious and Medical? Would you fight to uphold them should they come under attack?

I feel that the ultimate decision to vaccinate should rest with families. I have a huge problem with the fact that the government seems to have ultimate control of people's children.

QUESTION #5

Would you support a bill to expand vaccine exemptions to include conscientious objections?

Yes, because, like the answer above, this is a matter of personal and familial freedom. There's nothing I'm more adamant about than individual rights to self-determination.

QUESTION #6

During a declared state of emergency, would you actively fight against proposed vaccine mandates?

Same answer as questions #5 and #6!

QUESTION #7

At the state level, Florida Statute 381.00315 gives the State Health Officer the power to force vaccines, when approved, at their discretion and with police powers for enforcement. Are you aware of this law? Would you support the repeal of this law?

Yes I would support the repeal of this law. We are creeping further and further to a government controlled state, and the idea that vaccines might be police-enforced is outrageous.

I am not familiar with the law. However, no company or individual who administers medical care should be immune from lawsuits. While we do need to tighten up on frivolous litigation, no person or company should be exempt from it. When you have the power of life and death in your hands, you need to be held accountable for catastrophic results.

QUESTION #9

Are you currently (or previously) affiliated in any way (including campaign contributions) with pharmaceutical companies, medical establishments or educational institutions?

No.

Absolutely! I am a strong believer in the First and Second Ammendments. I strongly believe in the principles of the right to uphold and defend our personal freedoms. As an elected official it is our job to follow and live by the Constitution as it was written, not to change it.

It means the right to make my own health decisions. Once I have all of the information it should then be up to me to decide what is right for myself and my children.

Yes I do support exceptions. I would fight to uphold exceptions. I believe it all should be a personal decision.

At the state level, Florida Statute 381.00315 gives the State Health Officer the power to force vaccines, when approved, at their discretion and with police powers for enforcement. Are you aware of this law? Would you support the repeal of this law?

No other drug company has ever been given this sort of protection. Are you familiar with this law? Do you support this type of immunity for pharmaceutical companies?

I was not familiar with the law. I do not agree with selective exceptions for anything much less a drug company. They are making a profit and there should be a risk to their reward. No immunity.

Are you currently (or previously) affiliated in any way (including campaign contributions) with pharmaceutical companies, medical establishments or educational institutions?

No affiliations

QUESTION #1

Do you stand firm in upholding, honoring and defending the Constitution? Please provide examples.

"Yes. Because our Constitution is based on the biblical principles of our Founding Fathers, respecting the individual's accountability to God first, then family, then country. In the Bill of Rights, the government is limited, not the people. As pronounced in the Declaration of Independence, our rights are endowed by our Creator, not given to us from the government.

I have fought for the liberty and freedom of employees who stood up for justice in their workplace; I have fought for fair treatment for foster children and differently-abled youth when their rights were not being preserved in education; I have personally fought governments that violated due process in taking property under RICO statutes, affecting arrests through wrongful search and seizure and denying care for indigent widows.”

What does medical freedom mean to you?

QUESTION #3

What is your stance on vaccine mandates? Do you oppose or support mandates?

"Oppose. In preparation for the health and welfare of nations, I am in favor of vaccines generally. As Americans we enjoy the privilege of great researchers and innovative discoveries. However, I believe we are really in trouble.

1. ... where the content of vaccines includes items that are causing disease and death in the global and domestic administration;

2. ... where private research labs and universities receive public funds and are able to transfer ownership to private patents which are negotiated on the public market and with hostile nations; and

3. ... where international calls to create a vaccine for Corona Virus lacks protocols of mandatory animal testing for years before being introduced to humans.”

QUESTION #4

Do you support the current vaccine exemptions in Florida, Religious and Medical? Would you fight to uphold them should they come under attack?

Yes. I support temporary medical exemptions; permanent medical exemptions or religious exemptions for vaccinations, and I would fight to uphold them. Parents want to do whatever they can to protect their children and keep them safe, however, it is the prerogative of the parents

QUESTION #5

I am aware that Governor DeSantis' Executive Order Section B provides that Florida Statute 381.00315 (5) permits government officials to mandate individuals be vaccinated, among other public safety measures, during a public health emergency. I support the repeal of this reference in DeSantis' Executive Order and the repeal of any mandatory vaccination of citizens.

"Yes. I certainly do not support this immunity.

The original pursuit of a stable market to supply vaccines is an insufficient basis to allow manufacturers to escape liability from injuries to individuals and families. The limited amount of information parents and guardians receive about the side-effects and possible permanent injuries creates a license for manufacturers deliver inferior products without the ability of citizens to weigh benefits against risks.”

QUESTION #9

Are you currently (or previously) affiliated in any way (including campaign contributions) with pharmaceutical companies, medical establishments or educational institutions?

No I am not.
